My name is Armond Scipione. I am a 24 year old Nutritionist/Fitness model from Fort Lauderdale Florida. I was born in Syracuse NY and graduated high school from ESM. My interest in fitness started when I was about 13 or 14 years old. My father had shown me a few simple exercises and I was amazed at how fast I saw results…I was instantly hooked. During high school I wrestled all four years and lifted weights in the off seasons.

I decided to go to college at Plattsburgh State University (upstate NY), and study Nutrition. Of course I decided to join a Fraternity (seemed like the logical thing to do). I continued to train but my social activity was seriously taking away from my potential. That is when I met a man named John Cournoyer who completely turned my life around. He saw potential in me and took me under his wing teaching me nutrition and a healthier lifestyle. With John's guidance my weight shot up about 25lbs in only 3months…prior to that I was lucky to put on 5 lbs per year. I remember him cooking breakfast and I wasn't allowed to leave the table until all the food was gone, breakfast consisted of a dozen eggs, 4 pieces of wheat toast with cheese on every one and a large glass of orange juice. John then encouraged me to compete in a bodybuilding competition (2002 NABF Vermont Supernatural), where I ended up winning the Junior Division and taking second in the Middle weight

One year later I had decided to enter the 2003 NBA Mr. Vermont Bodybuilding Competition. Coming In 10lbs heavier than the year before I was able to win both the novice and middleweight divisions and taking best poser in each. This was by far my favorite show because four friends (Daryll, Emily, Adam, and Ron) from my gym in college were competing with me. The support and motivation we gave each other really pushed us all to be our best. For fun I had sent in a couple of pictures to Flex magazine and to my surprise six months later they appeared in the January 2004 edition.

So I graduated college and decided to move back home and find a job. I worked as a personal trainer/nutritional consultant at the Fitness Forum Health Club in Syracuse. During that year I decided to compete one more time at the Nations Capital Musclemania show. My conditioning wasn't where it should have been and I placed much lower than where I would have wanted. However at that show I met a photographer who flew me back to D.C. for a photo shoot. After my initial shoot I began to get other modeling work and made it in the March 2005 Edition of Exercise for Men Only.

Last October ten of my friends and I came down to visit a friend in Fort Lauderdale. I could not believe that it was 85 degrees and the beach was packed. When I went back to Syracuse it was 40 degrees and drizzling rain. Exactly four weeks later I packed what I could in my corvette and shipped the rest of my clothes down to Florida.

Now I live in one of the most beautiful places in the country and work full time as a scientific health advisor for Life Extension Foundation (www.lef.org)  and model on my days off. I really feel I have been very blessed and that every thing that has happened in my life has happened for a reason.

Unfortunately after working 8 hours per day and working out after work I only have a couple hours to myself each day. In my spare time I like to spend as much time as I can on the beach and I also enjoy working on my 1980 corvette. (there is always something that needs to be fixed.)

Having just finished my first shoot with John Mitchell I wanted to take a few minutes to thank him for a great experience. John was very professional and has a great attitude. He went out of his way to make the photo shoot as enjoyable as possible and his enthusiasm really shows through.

John is always very diligent in responding to any concerns I have had and he actually developed the film from our shoot the very next day. The best thing about shooting with John is that you will feel comfortable around him, which I can't say for every photographer I have worked with.

The pictures we captured on our shoot were outstanding. They were some of the best shots that I have captured with any photographer. I plan on using many of these new images on my comp card and website in the near future.
