My name is Jon Sieruta and I go to school at University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I am a Civil Engineering major with a minor in Business and will be going to graduate school for Structural Engineering and Management in the fall of 2007. I grew up in the Springfield area and attended school there. I had an active childhood and participated in sports such as football, basketball, soccer and track. I started working at a young age on my grandparent’s farm and for my father which was the foundation for developing my physique.
In high school, I played soccer, basketball, and track. I did the usual party scene and spent a lot of time with my friends. I always enjoyed sports but found that I excelled with bodybuilding. As I trained more I developed fast and was known in school for my physique. I began training seriously at the age of 15 and continued up until I graduated.
As I entered into college I began to read more about fitness and bodybuilding, and as I increased my knowledge of weight training, I trained harder. I quickly saw results and knew that lifting weights would always be a part of my life. I know that staying fit and healthy will be a life long activity for me. Weight training has taught me to be dedicated, disciplined, and motivated to achieve my goals in life. I have become more confident with myself and know that I am a better person because of it.
As far as my diet goes, I maintain a relatively clean diet year around. I do not fluctuate in weight very much and tend to have steady gains over time. Even though I do eat healthy year around I do enjoy snacking on the occasional junk foods. My favorites include cheesecake and ice cream.
I currently work as a construction manager in the Western Mass Area. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and like working with people. This job allows me to put my skills as an engineer to work and gain experience. I also started my first personal training company out of the Amherst Area with a few partners. The company name is Mind Body Systems and we specialize in Personal Training and Wellness. I work as a strength coach for a few athletic programs and also work as a corrective exercise specialist. I specialize in strength training and athletic training and have set up various clinics/classes for student athletes and adults. I am also a health practitioner and study nutrition and holistic health. I hold multiple certifications in Personal Training and in Nutrition which include ACSM, ISMA, AAAI, AFTA and Red Cross. I am always willing to answer questions, and can be contacted at my website at www.mindbodysystems.net. On the side I am a real estate agent and am currently gaining experience in the real estate business.
Other interests of mine included sports, cars, guitar, music, motorcycles, snowboarding, outdoor sports, and pretty much anything that gets my adrenaline going. My favorite sports teams to watch are, of course, the Red Sox and the Patriots. I also love to party and have a fun with my friends.
I am new to the modeling and working with John has helped me understand more about the business. John has been a great photographer and is extremely easy and fun to work with. He has helped me achieve my goals as a fitness model and bodybuilder. I have met some great people through him that have showed me more about the fitness modeling business. Not only is he a great photographer, but a great person. He is willing to help out his clients and make accommodations for them if necessary. He is always looking out for the best interest others which is hard find these days. He exceeded my expectations with his professionalism and friendliness. John has been a pleasure to work with and I am looking forward to working with him in the future.
