My name is Jay Bednar. I was born in raised in Canton, Ohio. I graduated from Glen Oak High School in 2005, where I played football. My senior year of football, I was named 1st team All-Ohio as a Linebacker. I graduated from Glen Oak with honors. I went on to play one season of college football at Mount Union College. I currently attend Walsh University and will graduate this December with honors and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Upon Graduation, I will be relocating to Los Angeles to begin school at Cleveland Chiropractic College.

As long as I can remember, I have been spending time in the weight room. I began my first hardcore lifting program freshman year of High School to get bigger, stronger and faster for football. I began reading all the muscle magazines and was instantly intrigued by the enormous bodybuilders gracing the pages. From that point on, it became an obsession of mine to one day be as physically developed as these men and to be featured in the muscle mags, but for the moment, my focus was football. After one season of College football, I decided to step away from the game I loved to pursue my dream. In my true nature, I went right for the top and competed in the 2006 NPC Teen National Championships for my first true show. Due to lack of experience and knowledge, I took a disappointing 6th place in the Light Heavyweight class. I then took two years off of competing to work on weak points and add quality muscle. I entered the NPC Collegiate National Championships in 2008 and won the Light Heavyweight class as well as the Overall Championship. I am now working towards becoming an IFBB pro, a goal that I will attain.

Working with John was a pleasure. This being my first photo shoot, I was unsure of what to expect. John made me feel absolutely comfortable and accommodated me in every way possible. He was very professional and has great vision and ideas during the shoot. I would recommend John to anyone needing professional shots. You will not be disappointed with his work, and will not find a more comfortable atmosphere to work in.
