Hello, my name is Herve Duchemin. I am 23 years old, originally from Bronx, New York, but currently residing in South Beach, Florida. I've been personal training for about four years now, and hold an AFAA personal trainer certification, advanced trainer certification, and am very knowledgeable in areas relating to functional/core stability training, cardiovascular exercise, postural analysis and body fat assessment, and nutrition as it pertains to physique "morphing". I am very skilled at dropping and adding weight quickly, both fat, as well as water (which the majority of individuals don't understand).
In 2002 I received my Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Boston College, and soon moved back to New York, where I began to pursue fitness modeling, and private personal training, putting the Computer Science aside periodically.
I did a nationwide advertisement for Twinlab's Ripped Fuel, which was placed in 1000 gyms nationwide, and featured in magazines such as Men's Health, Men's Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, FHM, Stuff, Maxim, and GQ.
Currently, I am pursuing both a career in fitness modeling/personal training, as well as electronic music production, both of which I am able to focus on very intensely down here in South Beach. Being that the weather is very warm all year, it is very conducive to me being able to stay lean year-round for whatever work might be available for me.
At the same time, I am now able to put my Computer Science background to use since I compose all of my music with my partner in a home studio on a computer, in addition to various hardware synthesizers, a digital mixer, recording microphone, and other modules.
In conjunction with a healthy diet regimen and organized fitness plan, I find that my mind remains focused and positively motivated to accomplish whatever goals I may have set for myself each day, in an orderly and timely fashion. I believe in wellness of mind, body, and spirit, which I strive to gain more of with each passing day, with the aid of love and meaningful relationships I share with those dear to my heart. First and foremost, I place my relationships with others. All else falls beneath that, as I realize that without other individuals, I would have no one to help or offer insight to, nor have anyone to serve as a mentor or teacher to myself.
In the future, I see myself as an accomplished fitness model, musician, and hopefully actor as well, and will strive greatly each day to bring myself a step closer to those goals.
Working with John was awesome. He really loves his work, and is good at what he does. His passion is very evident through his enthusiasm to get the perfect shot, and through his altruism for the models/bodybuilders he works with. His true warmth and hospitality are greatly appreciated on my part. John is always open to suggestion, and is very quick to offer suggestions of his own to make the shoot very interesting, and to insure that the photographs exemplify a degree of creativity and novelty, which a lot of other photographers do not, put effort into achieving. John really cares about the models he works with, and is concerned with making sure you get shots that "you" like (not only shots that would look good on his website). I spent 2 entire days shooting with John, and his professionalism shined all the way through to the end. I would recommend John Mitchell to any model or bodybuilder who is looking to expand his or her portfolio with some innovative shots, without the hassle of a boring, monotonous shoot. I really had an awesome time, and definitely look forward to working with him in the future. Thanks a bunch John.
