My name is Kyle Barber and I am a natural bodybuilder/fitness model. I grew up in Westerly, RI and now reside in Norwich, CT. I have been an athlete all my life since I was 6 years old playing just about every sport imaginable. I continued playing all of these sports until high school when I narrowed it down to basketball and football. I was a small football player in my high school but made a huge name for myself with my athletic abilities. Many people doubted me as I entered high school trying to make it big playing football at 145lbs.

I finally started to hit the weights gradually my junior year in high school but never became serious until I was 18 years old. I graduated high school at about 156lbs and proceeded to lift weights trying to get the “perfect physique.” I hit the weights hard everyday from there on out and began gaining mass and stay pretty lean.

In 2009 at 20 years old I did my first bodybuilding competition ever the “Fitness Atlantic Musclemania.” I went into a big show for my first natural competition ever and placed 6th in the junior men’s division and 8th in the lightweight division. Anybody who knows about competing will tell you how hard it is to go out on stage for your first time in a big show and do very well. Even though I did not receive a trophy I will tell you that it isn’t about the piece of plastic you hold in your hand at the end. It is about accomplishing your goals and being proud of yourself.

My family is a big part of my life. They have supported me every step of the way in everything I do and every decision I make. My father was a big part of my desire to transform my body and compete. My father and uncle competed in many different bodybuilding organizations and eventually made a feature in the Muscular Development magazine. He has inspired me in many different ways and has pushed me to be the best I can be. I am a 3rd generation bodybuilder in my family and hope to make them proud.
As of now I am an employee at Mohegan Sun and am a cook in a production kitchen. When I have time off from work and hitting the gym I love to spend time with my family and play recreational sports. I currently play softball in 3 different leagues and love playing. Ever since I graduated high school bodybuilding and softball have been a big part of my spare time.

On the weekend of May 22nd I did my practice photo shoot with BBpics.com and it was very pleasing to see the effort and desire they had with getting me ready for my first professional photo shoot. I was very pleased with the way that there is no photo shopping done to the pictures, they are real photos with no adjustments. I love knowing that someone can capture your real physique using natural lighting and not having to worry about the images looking fake. I am very pleased to say that this is the first company I have worked with and am already pleased with the work.

After I left the practice shoot I was excited to come back and do the real thing. This is my opportunity given to me by BBpics.com and I am going to take full advantage of it and make the best of it. Thank you for the opportunity to do something I have wanted to do and something I know I can do!
