How it All Began
Health and Fitness have always been a big part of my life. It all started when I was just 6 years old, playing soccer at such a high level. It was a dream of mine to make a career out of it. At just the age of 16 I got the opportunity to travel and play with professional teams across Europe. It came to a point though as a teen where I wanted to be in the gym just as much, if not more than I did on the field. I had goals growing up to be the most physically fit player on the team. This brought me to my freshmen year in high school where i discovered my love of lifting and fitness. As I got more passionate about being in the gym, it's almost as if I loved it just as much (if not more) then I did actually playing! As I continued to strive to be the strongest, fastest and even most muscular player on the team, it kept me motivated and I was hooked from that point on. The more I trained not only with the team but in the weight room on my own, I began to see results. That's when my love for fitness and bodybuilding became real. I finally realized that I had a passion for something other than just soccer. Being in the gym really taught me the value of hard work and that consistency and dedication truly pays off in the end.
I am currently in the process of building myself up as a personal trainer, model and natural bodybuilder. Health and Fitness have always been my life. My motivation comes from my own desire to succeed. I have this burning desire to get bigger and stronger. I love the feeling of hitting a PR in the gym and seeing myself achieve the goals that I set. One of my coaches once told me that "strength does not come from physical capacity it comes from an indomitable will". This saying goes a long way if thought out thoroughly. If only everyone looked at the bigger picture, results would come that much quicker. If you can truly utilize this, your dream of a better body can become a reality. I am currently residing in Toronto Ontario where I am working as a certified personal trainer. I plan on progressing as a natural athlete as well as a personal trainer and for more information on this check out my fitness group page! http://www.facebook.com/KTRFitness
Consistency is Key
I am extremely dedicated and motivated to this lifestyle of natural bodybuilding. I plan to give it my all and 100% effort to prep for every future photo shoot/competition I do take part in. My goal is to be well established and well known in the fitness and bodybuilding industry. I spend many hours a week bodybuilding and going about perfecting my build.
My Workout Regimen
My current workout routine is a form of nonlinear periodization training, also known as Layne Nortons PHAT. I am a strong believer in scientific evidence to back up my training and nutrition. Which is why I follow the likes of Layne Norton, 3D muscle journey, and many more. These are just the few who were true enough to help me along the way for my prep for this shoot. I am very grateful for this and plan to work with them for any future competitions and shoots. My routine has been consistent for the past year. I have been following the likes of this split with de-loads every 6-8 weeks as well as modifications along the way to certain exercises, rep scheme, tempo etc. My number one goal when I step into the gym is making sure I hit my PR's (personal records) for the workout and I walk out extremely satisfied and happy with myself, knowing i'm constantly progressing which is the key to growth.
In terms of my nutrition I follow what is known as IIFYM ( if it fits your macros) or what I like to call Flexible dieting. I have certain target numbers that I hit for the day. As long as the majority of my diet is micro nutrient dense, I then add in foods that I feel like in moderation as long as it fits my macro nutrients for that day whether bulking, or cutting.
My Experience with John
I remember speaking with John over the phone as well as via email. At first I was a little bit skeptical on whether or not I should travel such a distance for a Photo-shoot. In all honesty it was the best decision yet! I have come to realize that in life you must follow your dreams, and that's exactly what john is trying to do, enhance my career and build up a better portfolio for myself as a fitness model. When I first arrived in New England John was their waiting along with another natural bodybuilder and now good friend of mine Charlie Al Attar. This was a good sign that I knew my stay would be enjoyable. At the beginning of our stay I have to say it was a bit slow, rainy and very low energy. But as athletes that didn't stop Charlie and I to get into a local gym that John was ever so kind enough to drop us off at. You can say John was like our personal taxi driver lol. Wherever we needed to go he would take us! The day before our 2 day shoot, we all made an appearance into a local supermarket, which was probably one of the most exciting things that happened on our trip LOL! You would have had to be there to understand, but let’s just say it made our trip that much more exciting. After two rainy days, finally the sun came out and the photo-shooting began! Or as john would say, we were now "doers" and not "viewers" haha. I have to say we got to know each other very well over the past 4 days of the trip. I cannot wait to see what John has planned for me in the future of my Fitness modeling Career. As I continue to strive for better and fight the big fight in terms of muscle mass, I promise you Johnny boy our next shoot is something I will definitely be looking forward too! I will continue to stay in contact with John as he is arranging for me to eventually compete in the near future as well as future shoots to come. After working with John also known as "the captain" he is much more unique. Unlike most photographers I have worked with in Toronto. He really gets to know who the model is and plans on helping them with their future goals and career.
Thanks Captain for doing what you do BEST! I look forward to our future shoots together.
