In July of 1982, a southern girl was born. My name is Lindsey Weigand, and I was born and raised in beautiful Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My upbringing has afforded me the opportunity to experience so much, but I know the best has yet to come. I graduated from LSU with a BS in psychology and am currently attending court reporting school. What little spare time I have is spent riding my motorcycle, raising my chickens, and enjoying outdoor activities with my dogs. Between the clamor of school and life, I find solace in the gym.
The desire to be an inspiration not only to women, but men, also, is what compelled me to pursue a career in the fitness/modeling industry. I have the dedication, volition, and talent to make a name for myself in this industry, and ultimately grace the cover of a nationally published fitness magazine, reaching and inspiring others on an international level. I’m an advocate for making the best of the time we have here, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and remembering to smile are the two most pivotal components. I realized this in 2008 and promptly made permanent changes in my life and I’ve never looked back. My motivation is fueled by results, the feedback and support I receive from strangers & family, alike, but most importantly, by the potential I know I have to succeed and flourish in this industry.
I recently had the pleasure of working with an extremely talented and professional photographer, Mr. John Mitchell. Finally, after all the hard work and dieting, it was time to shoot with John. I had never met John prior to this and I was anxious to see what I had gotten myself into. John’s enthusiastic demeanor and affable, yet professional disposition immediately placated me, and I knew I was in good hands. After shooting with John for two days, the proofs he sent me confirmed how gifted he truly is. I now consider John a personal friend & would clear my schedule to work with him again. Thank you John for being so easy to work with and for being so amazing!
I told myself I’ll never settle; I’ll never just be content with what I have. I want to push the limits and see just how far I can take this. Giving up is not an option. Sitting idly by is not an option. I’ve focused on my goal of being published, and will continue to push myself until I am reading an article in a fitness magazine featuring me. I’m young, dedicated, and have the perseverance to be the next cover model, so keep a lookout for me!
I truly believe success in the gym is 80% diet and 20% exercise. I try to avoid using the term “diet” because it implies a brief period of change; a clean diet should be a way of life. I cycle carbs in order to maximize growth potential while still maintaining a low body fat percentage. I follow this schedule: HIGH, LOW, NO, HIGH, LOW, NO. You should never have two high days back to back. When your weight loss plateaus, you will have to incorporate cheat meals, or adjust your carb and fat intake on high days.
