Matt Locker began a career in commercial broadcasting at the age of 16 in the Virgin Islands, at CBS affiliate WBNB-TV 10.

This experience eventually led to a producers position for a startup news operation in New Jersey. Eventually Matt ended up becoming weather anchor for the nightly program, "NewsLine".

In radio, "The Far From Famous Matt Locker" has held regular airshifts throughout the AM and FM band on stations including WBTA Batavia NY, WECQ "CQ102" Geneva, WTBQ Warwick, WKOJ-FM in Middletown; and then was on the air in the Virgin Islands doing mornings on "Paradise 104", a 50,000 watt FM station serving the East Caribbean. His radio skills extend beyond the microphone, into programming, production, creative services, marketing, studio engineering and audio processing. He was the head of programming for WGHT radio in Northern NJ for many years.

It was while in the Virgin Islands Matt stumbled into the motion picture business, first in national commercials for Citibank Visa, Coors Light, and was the guy in the premiere series of Corona's "Change Your Whole Latitude" campaign. Matt's first motion picture role was as "Johnny", the hotel porter in "Weekend At Bernies II". Matt recently finished filming the independent film, "Portfolio".

Matt's theatre credits also began in the Virgin Islands with the Pistarkle Theatre Company. After playing Mortimer in "The Fantastiks" he created the role of Morey in the Linda-Smith Palmer farce, "The Last Talk Show On Television". After these roles, he decided to take a break from radio and become a professional actor.

He is proud to have studied theatre with Action Theatre Conservatory , coached by Kathleen Kaleigh (Guiding Light); and Broadway's Joel Robertson (Fiddler on the Roof, Cats, Les Miserables, Parade, Jekyll and Hyde).

Almost immediately he appeared off-broadway in "Brilliant Traces", "Not Enough Rope", and originated the role of Ian-Christopher in the world premiere of "The Fourth Chair". His first role in the twenty first century was Max in "Bent", on the stage of off-Broadway's Pulse Ensemble Theatre.

It wasn't long after that when Matt found his way back in front of the lens doing commercials for AT&T, Room Plus Furniture, Thumanns Deli Best, Tiger Toys, Makita Power Tools, Hoffman Koos, and  portrayed Rod Serling for Monopril.

Matt's Voice can be heard on the air in countless radio commercials, plus special programs for Esquire Magazine, Revlon, Campari, The Cannes Film Festival, Panasonic, Nabisco, and those late night "Special TV offers".

Currently Matt can be seen as a television news anchor  for Time-Warner's "Staten Island News" , as a weatherman on "Channel 10 News", and continues to work as a voiceover artist, and a print model in New York City.

I want to thank Matt for braving the cold and dreary late February weather to come up and do these shots with me. I plan on doing more outdoor shots with Matt come warmer weather this Summer.
