I have been a professional model for the past 4 years. I've worked as both a commercial and fashion model. Some of my clients include: The Sports Authority, American Eagle, Joe Boxer, International Male, Regis hair salons, Australian Gold, Honda, Coors Light, Champion, Budweiser, Tom of Finland, Body Body Wear, Bacardi, MC Sports, Exercise magazine, and numerous others. One of the biggest myths in modeling is that it's so glamorous. Modeling is tough work. In order to succeed, you have to put a lot of time and effort into it. There are countless casting calls where you compete against, sometimes, hundreds of other models. There has been numerous times where I have waited several hours in a hot room to have someone look at my portfolio. A popular motto in the modeling biz is, "Hurry up and wait." So, true… Of course, modeling is not all bad. It can be a lot of fun, too. Shooting in exotic locations; and meeting people from all parts of the world keep it interesting and exciting. I was eager to work with John Mitchell because I wanted the practice posing for body shots. It was different than I was used to, but John was very patient. I'll say that it's much more difficult modeling when you have to worry about how your body looks in addition to your facial expression. Keeping your muscles tensed and your face relaxed can be very tiring. However, I think we both benefited by sharing our experiences. John was very easy to work with and terrific host during my visit to Connecticut. It's clear that he really enjoys what he does and I wish him all the best.
