I am a 22 year old model/natural bodybuilder from Schaumburg Illinois. Fitness has always been a major aspect of my life. Through sports I was introduced to weightlifting. I was captain of the baseball and basketball team at my high school and continued my athletic career to the collegiate level. While playing baseball at Harper College, I obtained my associates in Fire Science. My true desire is to become a fireman/paramedic. I completed an internship at the Palatine Fire Department and also got certified as an EMT-B. During my internship, I was able to observe how countless hours of training was used to achieve a common goal. This holds true for fitness as well. The more work you put in, the more results you will gain.
After I finished up my athletic career, I then devoted my time to developing my physique. Since fitness is one of my main passions, I decided to get certified as a personal trainer through NFPT. I then started training at Bally Total Fitness. There is nothing more rewarding then helping someone achieve their fitness goals and see legitimate results. Through Ballys, I was introduced to bodybuilding. My coworkers had done some competitions and encouraged me to give it a try. That’s when my training became much more intense and I increased my knowledge on nutrition immensely. I did my first bodybuilding competition in November of 2006 and I have another competition coming up in May. Through bodybuilding, I was introduced to modeling.
I just started modeling this year and have been featured in Real Gainz Magazine. My experience with modeling so far has been great, and I am always looking to expand my portfolio. I am currently attending Western Illinois University and am finishing up getting my bachelors in kinesiology. I work at the Campus Recreation Center at WIU as a personal trainer, and I am also the president of a fraternity called Delta Sigma Phi. Although I am busy, I still have maintained a 3.7 grade point average. Education, family, friends, and fitness are my main priorities and will always be. I owe a big thanks to John Mitchell for being so professional and easy to work with. I was introduced to John through Tammy at Real Gainz Magazine. He was great at keeping our lines of communication open and always keeping me informed. We just did our first shoot the weekend of March 23. He was very welcoming and created a comfortable atmosphere at the shoots. John was also open to listening to my suggestions for shots which created a positive atmosphere. He has wide range of knowledge on fitness photography and he has an eye for fashion as well. John has been in the industry for awhile now and his advice has been extremely beneficial. His dedication and work ethic are portrayed through his photography. I look forward to working with him again. Thanks for all your help John.
