I grew up in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I had an athletic background as a child playing sports like baseball, basketball, and doing martial arts. I picked up one of my fathers weight training magazines and decided I wanted to start gaining muscle size. After 3 years of high school basketball and starting college, I had to give up all sports because my metabolism would not allow me to put on size. After 2 months of training, I gained 15 pounds of muscle and was leaner than when I started. I was bit by the bug and wanted to see how far I could go. I went to see my first bodybuilding competition and trained a year to do the show. I won my class out of about 12 guys that show and a year later won the 1997 AAU Mr. VA Overall Championship. I then stepped it up and went to the NPC where I placed no less than second place. I realized that there was no money in doing the shows so I decided to try fitness modeling. I had to refine my physique to be more universal and appeal to a mass audience. An amateur photographer and I got together, took some photos, and sent them to magazines. I flew to Los Angeles and did several shoots and the magazines like the pictures. I currently live in LA and have shot for every major magazine including Men's Workout, Physical, Muscle & Fitness, Exercise for Men Only, and American Health & Fitness just to name a few. First Modeling Job: ApolloGT male calendar Workout Schedule: Meal Schedule The shoot with John Mitchell was exhilarating. Our ideas meshed to create a great energy and flow to the shoot. I recommend John to models just starting their careers for experience or to seasoned professionals to update their model books. View Photo Portfolio Site Created & Hosted by MetroHost.Com
