Canadian born and raised, I've always believed in the motto "you get out of life what your willing to sacrifice and put into it". An accomplished concert pianist, with numerous recordings to my credit and often a rigorous concert schedule to follow, my passions also extend to my personal commitment to health and fitness. I believe that both the relentless pursuit of physical health as well as ones well being (that is… truly being happy), are paramount for the success and development of any any individual - and I've never lost sight of this. Fortunately, I learned discipline and structure at an early age, which helped me develop a strong sense of self-worth and confidence. Without it, I would have been lost. My real interest in health and fitness took shape about 4 years ago, just after graduating from University -- at a time when our body begins to take mould. As my interest grew - so did my knowledge and discipline - both of which continue to grow from seeing the results. Four years ago - I weighed in at around 155lbs or so. These days - I manage to keep my weight up around 190lbs by proper dieting and healthy supplements and exercise. I never compare myself to anybody else… I simply set realistic goals for myself and accomplished them. And now by having gotten in shape and more muscular and athletic looking, many fitness-oriented jobs have begun presenting themselves. I've signed with 2 modeling agencies - and recently I shot for Men's Workout - an abs-routine program. I have also modeled extensively for prints adds (Labatts Blue, Interactive Male - to name a few), and magazines like Dreamboys and Blue. It's unbelievable - these days I am shooting with well-known photographers on a regular basis who are able to showcase my body to its maximum potential. Shooting with John Mitchell was a good work-out!!! I had never done a 3-day shoot before, so was little bit apprehensive. The first day we did gym shots, the second day - outdoor fashion, the third day - body/physique. Needless to say I was exhausted - but really felt good about the shoot. I don't think John had ever seen anybody eat so much as he kept me well fed and rested. Definitely a lot of fun and no regrets!!! If somebody had told me 10 years ago that I would be a fitness model, and that I would have abs of steel - I would have laughed hysterically. Luckily enough, I've always been the kind of guy who is easily motivated - so stepping into the gym after university was no big issue - just lots of hard work!!! Today I generally work one body part per workout with a little cardio (bicycle) before hand to warm up my body. I actually love working out now - and get really pumped up at the gym watching my body grow. I usually take one or two days off a week - however miss it when I'm not there. As my young modeling days will eventually creep to a close - I will always take good care of my body and what I put in it. My music is my first passion and I recently gave my orchestral debut here in Canada (April 2003) performing the Warsaw Piano Concerto. The summer of 2003 takes me to Europe to give more concerts and start recording my 3rd album. Another interest of mine is flying - so I can't wait to pursue that dream as time allows. Currently, I keep an effective balance in my life spending usually 2 hours in the gym earlier in the day and spend 4-6 hours each day in the studio working on my music. On top of that - you can usually find me running to and from auditions on a weekly basis, out promoting my music and my latest recordings, a concert here and there….. Sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day. One of my television highlights was being featured on Showtimes "Queer As Folk" - chosen for the opening scene of the First season - first episode. The director made me feel like a King… as I impersonated Michael (Hal Sparks)… one of the characters on the show. I feel like I've accomplished so much already in life, and am truly enjoying a well-rounded life, part of which I hope someday will also include a raising a family!!! High standards are something I've always put on myself as it usually gets the best out of me. I truly live by the mantra "I always try to remember that the quest for excellence is a continuous journey, not an end-journey!" View Photo Portfolio Site Created & Hosted by MetroHost.Com
