Hi! My name is Ryan Weber and I am form Cleveland, Ohio. I am currently a Firefighter/Paramedic and am working on two different departments. I have an associate degree in criminal justice and recently decided to go back to school for a bachelors in health science. Firefighting has been a great career for me so far. It has really opened my eyes to much more of the world than I thought it would. It is an absolute great feeling to help someone when most people are unsure of what to do. It is a team effort supported by a cast of intelligent and hardworking individuals to make each day a success. I look at each day as a blessing and I'm very grateful for the support of my family and friends. I like to surround myself with positive and goal oriented individuals who make each day better than the last.
I first took an interest in fitness when I saw one of the great Arnold Schwarzenegger films. My father was an athlete as well so the transition was easy. I didn't get serious until I graduated high school. During my senior year in high school, I sat next to one of my good friends in class. Of course we would talk and joke around but we still managed to do well. At lunch later that day he decided to crack a joke. He asked me where I was during math class and told me I missed an exam. I laughed and said "I was sitting right next to you, what are you talking about"? His reply was the one that ignited my passion for fitness. He said "Oh, I didn't see you; maybe you were hiding behind your pencil!" Everybody started to laugh. I knew I was skinny but man that was rough. I was embarrassed and made the decision shortly after to start working out. I am very glad I did. Fitness has made a huge difference in my personal life a d professional career. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I am more aware of my body and health now more than ever.
I knew I wanted to take my workouts to another level. I had thought about becoming a fitness model but did not know where to begin. I was at the Arnold Classic when John first introduced himself to me. I was not sure if he was for real but, I was willing to take a chance. I stayed in touch with John for several months before I decided to make the trip out. I am very glad I did. John was absolutely great to work with. He was very professional, laid back, calm and cool the whole time. He was experienced and made me feel right at home. It was my first photo shoot and I was not sure what to expect. John was very easy to work with and made the whole experience that much better.
John and I had some great conversations and a lot of laughs. Not only is he good at getting the right shot, he is a motivator. I will always strive to be in better shape. John was very good helping me to feel prepared and adequate. I know I did well but, I know I can get even better. With the right attitude, coaching and determination success is inevitable. I look forward to improving and working with John again soon.
