My name is David Silvia I was born and raised in Barrington RI. Growing up as an athlete I have always had passion for fitness and staying active. I played just about everything growing up including soccer, basketball, wrestling, track, lacrosse, and football. However, as I got older into my teen years my main focus was set on football. I was always one of the smallest kids on the team growing up. This gave me an extreme drive to get bigger, stronger, and faster every year. With persistence and hard work, I was to achieve my goals landing me first team all-state honors while attending Barrington high school and first team all-conference honors while attending Bridgewater State University. Once my athletic career ended I searched hard for something to feel that void in my life. It didn't take me long to realize that taking health and fitness more seriously would fulfill the empty space in myself.  I have worked relentlessly to put on size. I was I pretty big guy weighing on average between 210-215 but always carried around a little too much extra fat. 

 

This past year I have gained a real appreciate for modeling/fitness modeling. I have been inspired by some of the greats such as Greg Plitt, Jeff Sied, and Artemus Dolgin. I knew this was something I wanted. I got the same feeling thinking about modeling and training as did when I would train and play football. So, I put my mind and body to the test. I have been training relentlessly to burn fat and gain muscle by doing fasted cardio in morning along with weight training in the evening along with a clean diet. A typical training week consists of my fasted cardio in the morning and I either use the stair master, run, or use the bicycle. My weight regiment is broken up into muscle groups. I do a different body part each day really focusing on the negative drop as well the squeeze and contraction. This I found give me a much better pump/ workout then just lifting heavy weights like I did in my younger years of training. I have incorporated more plant based foods into my diet along with lean meats. Sunday is typically cheat but I don't go to crazy. With these basic adjustments, I have seen tremendous success thus far after years of trial and error. This is just the beginning for me and I am striving for nothing but greatness in my future.

 

Working with John was a tremendous experience for me. This was my first time being shot on camera and he made sure I felt comfortable and he was also very easy to work with. He was extremely professional as well I personable. He gave me 110% percent effort throughout the day. He pushed me out of my comfort zone with the different shots and angels and I truly cannot thank him enough for that.  He is a class act, great person, and an amazing photographer as well as coach. I am certain that John will be able to help anyone with taking their fitness modeling career to the next level!
