My name is Chris Bell. I am from Norwood, Massachusetts. I currently study Exercise Science at Keene State College. I was recruited to play basketball, and I played my freshman year until I got injured and wasn’t able to return. I have been lifting seriously for over 2 years, but have been active with sports my entire life. Since I was young, I have played soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and track which has kept me in shape all year around. I have always been slim, with good muscle tone. My biggest problem, was that I was always skinny, and I was always told that by friends, and coaches. In addition, I always had abs which drew a lot of attention.
My biggest motivation was being told that I was too skinny, and I needed to lift weights more. In High School, I was told by my football coach, that the reason why I got injured was because I wasn’t strong enough. My sophomore year of high school, I suffered a dislocated shoulder playing football. The injury haunted me all high school causing more dislocations and even surgery the following summer. My luck got even worse when the surgery didn’t prevent following dislocations. I ended up getting another surgery the following year on the same shoulder. After several months of recovering, I had almost lost hope in fitness. I had become even more skinny, and I was still very restricted with physical activity. That period of time has made me stronger than ever. I learned to never get down on myself and to never give up.
I believe that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and you do the work. To reach my goals I made myself a specific program, and also ate clean. I don’t eat very healthy or have a strict diet. On the other hand, I don’t have a lot of sugar or junk food. My meals are mainly chicken, steak, or fish with rice. I stay consistent to my meals, but allow myself a couple cheat meals a week. For my workouts, I usually train 6 days a week, with two days of cardio. My days consist of a pull day which is bicep and back, a push day being tricep and chest, legs, and shoulders. I am very grateful where I am today.
I have overcome many obstacles to get where I am. I am not afraid to fail, nor do I let other people’s words affect me. Having a speech impediment can give people a reason to judge you, but I ignore it and stay focused. Same goes with my fitness. If someone says I won’t be successful, I just smile and work hard to prove them wrong. My goal is to have fitness modeling be one of my careers, and I won’t stop working until I get there. I am very excited to continue my fitness journey with John BBpics.
My first photoshoot with John BBpics was great! It was everything I had pictured before coming. I was very excited when you reached out to me, and I am very satisfied with the work you put into photography. The location of the shoot was amazing, and the nice day made it even better. The shoot was very professional and friendly at the same time. There was never a time where I felt uncomfortable or not safe. I also learned a lot with the posing and a little with photography. You definitely know what you are talking about and I’m very grateful to have you mentor me with bodybuilding and modeling. You were very patient with me even in the hot weather. I am very interested in doing more shoots, including shoots during the different seasons. I cannot wait for the next shoot.
