In His Own Words...

Currently I am a Personal Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness in Glendale, California.

After the 1996 Olympics, I decided to go into personal training so I could help others achieve their fitness goals. I believe a healthy body is a healthy mind. My goal as a trainer is to encourage young athletes to stay natural without the use of performing enhancement drugs.

There is no age limit to fitness. Anyone can achieve a high level of physical fitness. In order to achieve these goals, one must focus on nutrition, supplements, resistant training, cardiovascular exercise, and personal trainer assistance. These are the 5 components of fitness that are the foundation to achieving fitness goals. Nutrition and exercise are very important together. Nutrition is 75-80% of fitness.

Outside of the gym, I play basketball, musical instruments, and I compete in bodybuilding. I have competed in California and Hawaii. I would like to compete in the mid-west, south, and the east coast next year.

I had the pleasure of working with John in Santa Monica. John makes work FUN! He is patient, funny, easy to talk with, but very serious about his work. I know we will continue to work together as I build my career as a fitness entrepreneur. John became more than a business associate to me, he is someone I consider a friend.
